† The Prayer of Adoration (In unison, from Psalm 124)
Great and Merciful God, our strength is in you. As David wrote in the Psalms, youhave been on our side forever. You save us, rescue us, protect us, and love us nomatter what life brings our way. You are always there for us. Our help is in thename of the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. We are filled with love andpraise that you will always gather us in. Amen.
†Hymn of Adoration # 401 Gather Us In
Prayer of Confession (In unison)
Lord we bow before you humbled by all that you have given us, yet we also comewith an honest sorrow. Despite your guidance and strength, your assurance and offerof salvation, your mercy and grace, we forget, or draw too deeply into ourselves. In this time of challenge we allow worry and even anger into our mind, we fail tocare as much for others as we care for ourself, we are short on patience, we areslow to forgive, we do not radiate the hope that you will for us. We do not see eachmoment as a blessing. Now, please hear our silent confessions...
(In unison) Renew us with the light and vision you hold for each of us. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon New Creations in Christ
