Welcome and Announcements

† Call to Worship

Leader: This is a Holy and Glorious Day.

People: From our homes we gather into a Holy space.

Leader: The Lord is with us.

People: He is the resurrection and the life.

Leader: Christ is risen. We have seen the glory of God.

People: We are full of hope and the joy of new beginnings.

All: We come to be nourished and we come to worship Father, Son and

Holy Spirit.

† The Prayer of Adoration (In unison) God of all glory, You are the source of all that is good. You offer us redemption and salvation in Jesus Christ who You raised out of the darkness of death. In his resurrection You vanquish death. We praise and adore You for Your great Glory. He is risen! He is risen indeed. Hallelujah! Amen!

†Hymn of Adoration # 232 Jesus Christ is Risen Today

Prayer of Confession (In unison) Almighty God, in raising Jesus from the grave you shattered the power of sin and death. We confess that we remain captive to doubt and fear, bound by the ways that lead to death. We overlook the poor and the hungry, and pass by those who mourn of which there are so many now. We ignore the cries of the oppressed and are indifferent to calls for peace. We despise the weak and abuse the earth you made. Please hear our silent confessions….

(In unison) Forgive us, God of Mercy. Help us trust your power to change our lives and make us new, that we may know the joy of life abundant given in Christ, the risen Lord. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon New Creations in Christ

EASTER SUNDAY MUSIC

# 232 Jesus Christ Is Risen Today

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia! Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia! Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia! Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia! Unto Christ, our heavenly king, Alleluia! Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia! Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains which he endured, Alleluia! Our salvation have procured; Alleluia! Now above the sky he’s king, Alleluia! Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Sing we to our God above, Alleluia! Praise eternal as God’s love; Alleluia! Praise our God, ye heavenly host, Alleluia! Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia!

#241-vs. 1, 3 &4 only Woman Weeping in the Garden

Woman, weeping in the garden, who has Pushed the stone aside? Who has taken Jesus’ Body, Jesus Christ the crucified?

Woman, walking in the garden, Jesus Takes you by surprise; when the gardener calls you, “Mary!” faith and joy meet in your eyes.

Woman, weeping in the garden, weep for Joy, for you have seen Jesus, the Messiah Risen; Christ, of whom the prophets dream.

Lord, I Lift Your Name on High (may be sung through multiple times)

Lord I lift Your name on high Lord I love to sing Your praises I'm so glad You're in my life I'm so glad You came to save us

You came from heaven to earth To show the way From the earth to the cross My debt to pay From the cross to the grave From the grave to the sky Lord I lift Your name on high
