Hymn of Adoration # 749 Come Live in the Light

Prayer of Confession (In unison, from Matthew 14)

Dear Lord, in Matthew’ s account of your walking on water, we are told of your admonition to “take courage.” You remind us to not be afraid. You warn us not to be of little faith. You tell us not to doubt. But we come this afternoon with moments in our mind where, in the face of  andemic, social change, and life’s challenges, we have given over to doubt, or fear or selfishness. We reflect now on our shortcomings Lord, and we offer them up in silence. (Silent prayers)

(In unison) We thank you for your mercy and for your gift of grace as we seek your forgiveness and empowering guidance. Amen.
